Visit with Richard Carreño, author of The Inventive Life of George H. McFadden, a definitive bio-history of the buccaneering age of Middle Eastern archaeology in the early 20th century. Relive the adventure, the mystery, and the intrigue of a WWII spy saga as Richard introduces you to Philadelphia archaeologist George H. McFadden, one of the era's most colorful figures.
Leading the discussion will be Edward Strauman, PhD, a Chestnut Hill College professor emeritus. A book signing and a Q&A will follow.
The event will be held on the bookshop's second floor and will begin promptly at 6 pm. Because seating will be limited, an early arrival is recommended. Your invited guests are welcome.
Further reminders will be forthcoming as the event date approaches.
While no registration is required, a RSVP to WritersClearinghouse@yahoo.com would be appreciated.
